Melbourne Cup Day is always a BUZZ at Injilinji Aged Care

The Resident Elders, Community Clients and staff team at Injilinji Aged Care always get into the racing spirit for Melbourne Cup Day, with a delightful buffet luncheon and lots of party treats. There were plenty who dressed for the occasion, in fun hats, ties, jockey colours and fascinators.

Part of the fun is the Melbourne Cup Sweep, a light-hearted and entertaining way for the Residents and staff to engage with the excitement of the Melbourne Cup race, even if they don’t have a deep understanding of horse racing.

Socialising, chats, yarns, laughs, fine food, and decorations made the day special, and thanks go to our wonderful staff and residents for working together to create a memorable day, especially chief decorator, Kylie.
