Injilinji Aged Care provides Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people with high care, low care residential services & community care Aged Care support services.

The Aged Care program commenced in 1998 when Injilinji was contracted by Commonwealth Health to provide a flexible delivery service for frail aged Indigenous people in Mount Isa. Two components were identified — Community Aged Care Packages and Residential Aged Care facility.

The Aged Care program employs a CEO, Registered Nurse, Senior PCA, Personal Care Attendants, Cook and Relief Cook, Administration/Purchasing Officer, as well as a contracted Chief Finance Officer.

Vision

To be recognised and accepted as an outstanding provider of culturally and linguistically appropriate, flexible, safe and quality aged care services for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples in the North West Queensland region.

Statement of Purpose

The purpose of Injilinji Aged Care is to enhance the health and social and emotional well-being of the people of the Mount Isa region through the provision of high quality, safe, accessible and locally based, culturally appropriate and accepted health, aged care and community services.
